If you are not familiar with larabars, let me introduce them to you. They are raw, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, and scrumptious. They taste like cookies because the dates make them sweet combined with super foods like cocoa and almonds. Basically, you get dessert, without the guilt. I eat them in between meals to tide me over. No more of those processed full of sugar granola bars. Eat healthy and wholesome.  I developed this bar for Christmas. They taste like a thin mint cookie from the girl scouts. Holiday Appetizer Ideas

Are you entertaining at your home for New Years?  My family is not entertaining in our home this year but we are going to 2 friend's houses this year.  As I am looking through recipes, I stumbled across one of my favorites that for some reason I constantly forget about.  We have always called it "Pigs in a Blanket"  but Pillsbury calls it Mini Crescent Dogs.

I love appetizers that are easy to make.  This recipe only has a few ingredients:  Pillsbury crescent rolls, mini hot dogs, and cheese.  Pop them in the oven and tada!  Only take a few minutes and they are a delicious snack to enjoy with your friends.

Here are a few other Pillsbury recipes that are easy to make and would be a great appetizer idea for your New Years party:

Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls

There is nothing better at the holidays than YOUR comfort food.  For me, the cinnamon rolls from Pillsbury are one of my favorite comfort foods.  When you think about going to the family's house and eating a big meal for Thanksgiving or Christmas, cereal just doesn't cut it for breakfast...at least for me.  I want something sweet and doughy. 

My absolute favorite is the sweet orange flavored cinnamon rolls but the original are a good second for me.  My kids prefer the original flavor.  They love them with a glass of chocolate milk on the side.  My 6 year old always asks for 3 cinnamon rolls because he loves them so much!  I like to eat them with a homemade cafe mocha.  You know, a packet of hot chocolate mixed with brewed coffee instead of water...yummy!

Disney on Ice Rockin' Ever After Review

 My family, some friends and I had the a very fun night at Disney on Ice Thursday evening.  The performance was as entertaining as ever!  The featured performers included Brave, Tangled, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.  All of which are my Disney favorites.

In addition to the ice skating, Ariel did aerial moves on a rope.  Very cool performance that I have never seen incorporated into a Disney on Ice performance.  It happened when Ariel gave up her voice for legs.  It demonstrated great ability by the performer.

 

The performance done by the Tangled pair was also incredible.  They are fabulous ice skaters and there was a very neat scene when they raised the lanterns.  They raised several and lots more just "appeared" out of no where.

 

The performances of Brave where by far my boys' favorites.  They love the bow and arrow and it was so neat when the performer shot the arrows and there were pyrotechnics when the arrow hit it's target.

It was an overall fabulous performance by all the ice dancers.  I am so happy we were able to attend and enjoy the fabulous show.  If you have been thinking about getting tickets but haven't yet, be sure to get tickets and don't miss out on the performance.  Your kids will truly enjoy it!

One of my favorite Disney movies of all time is Beauty and the Beast.  I can' wait to see Belle and the kitchen crew dance to the music.

 Any brave warriors in your house?  I rented this movie for my 5 year old son and he just loved it.  He pulled out his toy bow and arrow and acted along with the movie.

 

 Mickey & the gang are sure to make your little one smile.  I love the awesome outfits that Mickey and Minnie come on stage in.  They are always so decorative and fun.  I can't wait to see what they have in store for this show!  My 2 year old LOVES Mickey Mouse and I'm sure he will not be disappointed.

 I am so super excited to go to Monster Energy Supercross!  It will be on March 2nd at the Edward Jones Dome here in St. Louis.  What could be more fun for the whole family but watching some bikes kick up some dirt?!

Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, is the world's premier indoor motocross circuit, comprised of 17 races of heart-stopping action in some of the largest venues in North America. Every week, the best riders from across the globe, like two-time champion James Stewart, three-time champion Chad Reed, and two-time defending champion Ryan Dungey, seek to outrace each other on the sport's most challenging courses.  For us we are going to make it an adult event and get a sitter for the kids!  I have never been to an event like this so I am super stoked to check it out.  I have been to tractor pulls and rodeos but never a Supercross.
