Be Sure to Thank Your Source

How to grow your readership the respectful way:

One of the most important things in blogging is to credit your source. If you find great material on another site that you would like to share with your blog readers, it is very important to ask the original writer if you can use their information and credit them!

Just think of it "If that was me, what would I want them to do?" Most bloggers don't mind you posting things that they did as long as you credit them for doing the work and the research! If you aren't sure, it never hurts to ask.

For instance, if you see a printable coupon posted on another blog that you think is great, post it on your blog with a link to the original blog that you saw it at. Even though the coupon is public access, it was seen by you through the other blog so giving them props for finding it and crediting them is very respectful.

If the material is written by a blogger, like a story or articles like Simply "Cycle" Saturday, it is very important to ask the blogger if you can post some of the material or a link to their article. If you use it without doing so, it is considered plagerism. They own the rights to the material.

By doing this, you will gain the respect of other bloggers and they are more likely to share your information with others which will help to grow your readership. Just thought I would share this great way to help properly promote your blog.
