JCPenney Portraits Studio Review & Special Deal

I had the awesome opportunity to do a review on JCPenney Portrait Studios.  I have to say that it was a very pleasant experience.  From the time we walked into the studio until we left, the photographer made us feel welcome and accepted.  With our family of 4 and 2 crazy boys sometimes we don't see that.  She was very patient and gentle with the boys which was very nice.

Besides being nice, the photographer was very professional and respectful.  She posed us in very flattering postures and was sure to ask if we wanted more poses with each style of picture we did.  I am very happy with the way all the pictures turned out.

The portrait pricing was a little confusing but the photographer did a good job explaining it all.  I did not like that there was only one option for the CD and that was a huge pricey package.  I would have liked an offer for just a select number of portraits for a smaller fee.  We ended up ordering the package deal anyways to have Easter cards for the family but the option would have been nice for something less pricey.

I love the online viewing feature.  We were given a Web Access Code that we were able to view all the photos from at home and our family members can order whatever pictures they want from there.  I went home and watched the slideshow of all the pictures and then emailed the code to my family so they could go online and view them.  Once I receive my CD, I will upload pictures for you to see how awesome they are!

My overall experience with JCPenney Portrait Studios was excellent.  I have been to many portrait studios and was never as pleased as I was with this experience.  I have already mentioned it to my Facebook community and family.  Several of them have used JCPenney for years.  Thank you JCPenney Portraits for giving me a gift certificate for a free sitting!

Now for my readers, here is an offer for you.  Go to http://bit.ly/offer0114 and you will receive the following:

*1 Free Traditional 8x10 ($10 value)
*1 Free Sitting Fee ($9 value)
*23 Portraits of your Favorite Pose for $7.99 or $3.99 for Traditional Sheets ($10 value) plus 20% off Portraits Collections
*Offers above are valid through 3/31/14

Review of Disney Junior Pirates and Princesses

The show was really cute.  My boys weren't thrilled with the princess part which was the first half of the show.  The little girls around us were really enjoying it though and it was a cute story line.  My boys were totally thrilled with the Pirates part of the show.  They love Jake and the Neverland Pirates and really loved the fireworks at the end.

Photos will be uploaded later.  Our hard drive crashed and we are trying to get the photos back!

Keep your eyes open for more details on the next Disney show.  Disney on Ice Passport to Adventure!

How Special is Breakfast with your Family?

My family and I have tried to make sure that we have one meal a day as a family.  For us it has been dinner since daddy has to go to work and isn't here for the other two meals.  We always want to make improvements with communication with our families though, right?  I have found that my boys really enjoy me sitting down with them for breakfast.  Even if it is only for 10 minutes.  They enjoy to tell me how they want the day to go and what they would like to do whether their ideas are realistic or not.

I found out that Cheerios (which my boys love to eat) is teaming up with the Family Breakfast Project which encourages families to take 7 minutes for 7 days to have family breakfast and see what it brings.  I am excited to do this with my boys even if daddy can't join us for all the days.  I will document 7 days of breakfasts that I share with my boys between now and February 21st.  I challenge you to do the same.  Can you find 7 days or more in the next month to spend as a family?

GIVEAWAY:  If you send me a collage of your family eating breakfast together on 7 different days before February 21st, you will be entered into a drawing for $5 in PayPal cash.  Email your pictures and description to momonamission2008@gmail.com.  I will post all pictures in the February 21st update post I will make.

Peppermint Chocolate Larabars

This is a recipe I think I am going to try this week!

Peppermint Chocolate Larabars

If you are not familiar with larabars, let me introduce them to you. They are raw, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, and scrumptious. They taste like cookies because the dates make them sweet combined with super foods like cocoa and almonds. Basically, you get dessert, without the guilt. I eat them in between meals to tide me over. No more of those processed full of sugar granola bars. Eat healthy and wholesome.  I developed this bar for Christmas. They taste like a thin mint cookie from the girl scouts. Suitable for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, or dessert. Enjoy!   Free recipe here:  http://whatsfordinner-momwhatsfordinner.blogspot.com/2013/12/chocolate-peppermint-larabars.html
