10 Little Things That Lead to a Happier, Healthier You!

Spring is definitely in the air! Do you feel it? I am so glad to have the warmer weather and sunshine! I have been stir crazy finding new things to do and making improvements on the house, working in the garden, etc. Spring is definitely a happy time for me.

With spring in mind, I have decided to participate in TwitterMom's 10 Little Things post. Below are my 10 Things That Lead to a Happier, Healthier You!

1. I enjoy going to church each week. What could be more happy or healthy than making sure your Spirit is in check!
2. I enjoy playing outside with my little guy. It makes me super happy to see him having a good time.
3. I enjoy walking the dogs. We all need the exercise. My dogs get lazy sometimes and walking keeps them going.
4. I enjoy sitting and reading a good book. This is a destresser for me. Nothing is more healthy than relieving some stress.
5. I enjoy hanging out with friends. This is another great way for me to destress.
6. I enjoy going to concerts. This is great exercise and makes me happy. Who doesn't enjoy to boogie every now and then?
7. I have a healthier home when I clean with natural products. I can really tell the difference using chemicals over natural things to clean.
8. I really enjoy fostering cats! It is so cool to take in the pregnant mommas and watch them prepare for labor and then watch the little ones grow. Makes me very happy!
9. I love to relax and snuggle up to a good movie. I will pop some natural popcorn and add a little seasoning salt and enjoy my healthy high-fiber snack!
10. I enjoy hiking and seeing new sights. There is just something about exploring new things that makes me happy. I love to see and do things I have never seen or done before. I usually get lots of exercise in the process which is very healthy!

Disney on Ice Let's Celebrate Review!

Thanks to Feld Entertainment and Mom Central, I had the opportunity to go to Disney on Ice Let's Celebrate tonight. The show was spectacular! I think it was the best Disney show I have been to yet. It even kept my two year old entertained from start to finish.

All of the "popular" characters were there like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Princesses & Princes, Toy Story Crew, Mulan crew, etc. So many very talented ice dancers that just really put on a super show. Not only that but the crowd was really into it. For a Wednesday night show, the house was packed!

I would definitely recommend you go and see the show while it is in town. Don't forget that you can purchase tickets through TicketMaster using code: MOM. Mom On A Vacation!

I'm sure some of you have been wondering where I have been. This month has been crazy! I was in Georgia for a week, am in Arizona for a week, home a week and then in Florida for 1.5 weeks. My poor hubby is getting lonely at home! I will post whenever I have the time but it may not be very much this month. Everything will be back to normal in the New Year. I'm sure you are all busy getting ready for travel or family coming for the holidays. I hope you all stay safe and warm!

Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic Performance

Last night, my family and I had the chance to go see Disney on Ice 100 Years of Magic at the St. Charles Family Arena. It was fantastic! There were a lot of wonderful ice skaters dressed as everyone's favorite Disney characters.

My little guy was in awe. He couldn't take his eyes off the ice. When is was time for the intermission, he yelled "Come back!" His absolute favorite characters were Nemo, Dory, Mickey Mouse & Goofy. He didn't want to leave when the show was over.

I thought they did a wonderful job of keeping the show interesting to kids as well as adults. The costumes were as real to the characters we all know and love as they could be. The ice skating was really great. I am a huge fan of ice skating. It is a very beautiful, elegant sport.

It is definitely worth the cost to go to the show. It is about 2 hours long and very fun to watch the entire time! Visit their website to see when it is playing in your town. If you live in St. Louis, there is still one day left for you to see the show.

Relaxing Vacations!

Thanks to all of you who wished me a good vacation. I thoroughly enjoyed it! We are actually still in transit home. It felt weird being without internet for a whole week. I felt lost at first and then it kind of felt nice. I focused on spending quality time with my family. It was very pleasant. I spent 3 days with my 91 year old grandma and the other days with my other family. My little guy did wonderfully considering all the different locations we went to, late nights, and lots of new people. It is amazing how resiliant children are!

The picture above is of me petting/feeding a deer at a place called Animal Land in Bemidji, MN. If you ever make it up that way, I would highly recommend this place. We saw several kinds of animals and were able to pet and feed most of them. Of course not the Lions, cougars, bears, raccoons, etc. We were able to pet the deer, goats, camels, llama, kangaroo, etc.

It was great to take the driving slowly and break it up into 2 days. We are staying the night in Iowa at a cute little hotel with a heated pool and hot tub. It was great to end a long day of driving with relaxing swimming. My little guy swam so much he pooped himself right out!

I am excited to get home and again start posting wonderful deals for you, my wonderful readers. I hope you are enjoying your summer. Don't forget to take the time to spend "quality time" with your family. The kids grow so fast and each moment spend with them is a time to cherish. Have a great weekend!

Those of you that live in or around the St. Louis area, Westport Plaza is offering movies on a big outdoor screen FREE to the public.

Where: Westport Plaza Quad right between Backstreet Jazz & Cold Stone Creamery.

When: Every Tuesday evening at dusk (starting around 8:30-9pm).

Why: Its FREE, why not?!

What: They will show various movies (tonight is "The Notebook"). You will have to go and find out!
