9 Lives Review and Giveaway!

Are you a cat lover like me? I definitely have a passion for cats. I currently have 2 of my own and am fostering 3 cats for Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Cats are definitely one of the most loving animals out there. They love to cuddle, snuggle and show their happiness with a long purr. One of mine even talks (in his own little way) and can open doors. He is a clever little furr ball!
Do you feel you feed your cat the best nutritional food you can? 9 Lives surveyed feline pet owners across the country and came up with some surprising results:
  • 48% of cat owners feed their cats table scraps ~7 times per month.
  • Only 30% knew that most adult cats are lactose intolerant and should not be given milk.
  • 23% keep their cats on vegetarian diets.
  • 9 out of 10 would be willing to switch foods to give their cats a health advantage.

Table scraps are actually not nutritionally good for either cats or dogs. It does not provide the proper balanced diet or essential nutrients needed. Cow's milk should never be given to cats. They have a very high tendency to lactose intolerance with can greatly affect their digestive abilities. They may like it, but it doesn't mean they should have it! Baby kittens who do not have a mother to feed them are fed a special type of mother's milk which is not a cow based milk product.

As for the vegetarian diet, cats are born meat eaters. You will never find a cat in the wild chomping on carrots or peas. They will catch birds, mice, or other small critters. They are meat eaters. This is the proper nutrition for them and provides essential enzymes and nutrients.

If you are unsure about the diet you are feeding your feline, please check with your veterinarian for nutritional advice. There are several great brands of feline diet out there.

9 Lives has several formulas of food to choose from to give your cat the best possible diet there is. They have formulated an Advanced Nutrient System which helps to promote healthy skin and coat, strong muscle growth, and a healthy immune system. For more information be sure to visit 9 Lives website.

9 Lives and MyBlogSpark provided me with a prize pack as pictured below to try out and review. My cats were thrilled to have some awesome new toys and to try out some new food. There isn't much my little felines won't give a try!
What is even better than me getting to try out new 9 Lives products? One of you, my lovely cat-loving readers also gets the chance to try out this awesome prize pack. Fill out the form below for your chance to win!

Simplest, Most Delicious Caramel Dip!

My mom has made this caramel dip since I was little. I never tried to make it until today. Little did I know it was SO easy to make and only has 2 ingredients. All you use is a package (8oz) of cream cheese and 1 cup of brown sugar. Mix it well by hand or you can use a beater on low until it is smooth. Use it for apple or other fruit dip. IT IS AMAZING!

Jiffy Lube Giftcard Giveaway!

GIVEAWAY CLOSED!
Congratulations to Mary (mami2jcn) & Kristi (kristisdeals1) for winning this giveaway!
Have you heard of "Keeping My Ride Alive"? Well, let me tell you a litte bit about it. It is a website set up by Jiffy Lube that helps to educate on ways to easily maintain your vehicle. On this website, you are able to look through photos and stories posted by other readers. You can also upload your own stories and photos to share with others.

Check out this video above about a man who has kept his car running over 400,000 miles. Can you imagine? He says the key to long car life is to have it regularly serviced!

Many drivers are trying to keep their vehicles longer and are looking for ways to extend the life of their car. Jiffy Lube International recently conducted a survey that revealed that drivers know regular maintenance can extend the life of their vehicle, but they are looking for more out of their maintenance experience. 9 out of 10 surveyed say that having other vehicle fluids and parts checked during regular maintenance is a convenient way to preserve the vehicle's value. Just about 1 in 5 think the most important thing when having an oil change is to have multiple services performed in one visit. Around 59% want their oil changed in 30 minutes or less.

Jiffy Lube offers their Jiffy Lube Signature Service® Oil Change which fits these needs. This service includes:

  • Oil & Filter Change
  • Changing, inspecting, checking/filling and cleaning key vehicle parts and fluids.

If you haven't checked out the "Keeping My Ride Alive" site, be sure to do that and "Like" them while you are there. Share your vehicle story with the other readers ("Share Your Story" tab) and be sure to read some of theirs. You may get some useful tips along the way.

Jiffy Lube is also offering two of my readers a $35 Gift Card to try out their services. There are two things you need to do to be entered to win. First, visit "Keeping My Ride Alive" and come back here and comment on which mileage category your car(s) fall under. This allows others to see your car's accomplishment. Second, fill out the form below.

Febreze Home Collection Review & $15 Walmart Giveaway!

Giveaway Closed!
Thanks to the 39 entries to this giveaway. #23 Mary (mami2jcn@) was the winner via Random.org.

I recently had the opportunity to try out some of Febreze's new products. Two of which were the Flameless Luminary & the No-Spill Wood Diffuser. Let me tell you a bit about them.

Flameless Luminary
These flameless luminaries have the beauty of a flickering candle and a calming scent that is long lasting. It comes with a reuseable base which makes it easy to change scents as well as the shades. The look to them is very elegant and soothing. I like that I can put it in pretty much any room and it looks and smells great!

No-Spill Wood Diffuser

As you can see from the picture above, the diffuser is a simple solution to home fragrance that is somewhat kid and pet safe. I have a kid and several cats so for me, this is a great thing. I am always worried about having flame candles for obvious reasons and I can't use the heated diffusers because my cats get curious and tend to hurt their paws. Something like this is right up my alley.

If you are interested in learning more about the Febreze Home Collection, you can visit their Facebook page or their Walmart page.

Now that you have heard a little bit about their newest products, Febreze Home Collection & MyBlogSpark is offering a $15 Walmart Gift Card to one of my readers to go buy & try your own selection from their collection. All you have to do is fill in the form below and you are entered to win.

Cascadian Farm/Farmville Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED!
Thanks to the 27 who entered this giveaway. #1 Tanya (tanyab@) won this giveaway. Congratulations!

Do you buy organic foods at home? I do on occasion, not all the time. If I can get it for a reasonable price, I will get it. One brand of really good organic foods is Cascadian Farm Organic. Another fun fact about Cascadian Farm is that they have teamed up with Farmville.

If you are on Facebook and have ever gotten into games, Farmville is a fun one. It seems to be a favorite among my friends and family. I haven't had much time to play lately but I enjoy it when I do have a few minutes of me time. If you do play, you may have noticed the Cascadian Farm organic blueberry crops for purchase. You are able to plant these blueberries and they are the most profitable crop offered in the game. You have until Monday, July 26th to plant this crop so if you haven't yet, be sure to!

Cascadian Farm is also offering other great benefits like coupon offers, organic farming & green living tips, as well as the chance to quickly build up your Farmville farm! You can even become the friend & neighbor of Farmer Joe Cascadian. Need more neighbors? Perfect! Be sure to check out Cascadian's website for more great details.
The best thing about the partnership with Cascadian Farm, Farmville & MyBlogSpark is that they would like to offer one of my readers a Cascadian Farmville Fan Prize Pack which includes everything pictured below. To enter, all you have to do is fill out the form below. Its that easy!

Mission In Action

I'm sure some of you have been wondering where in the world have I been! I have been so extremely busy with several things lately. With it being summer now, my son is wanting to be outside more and more. We went on a vacation last month and another one this weekend. I have also been sewing my heart out because I desired to open an Etsy store which I just did this week. I am very excited for all the new changes going on in my life right now and am sorry that my blog has suffered a bit for it. I hope you will all understand.

Tomorrow I will be posting several awesome giveaways so definitely come back and check them out tomorrow! I hope you are all having a terrific summer. Enjoy the wonderful weather while it lasts!

Check out my Etsy store if you would like. I will be adding more things to it as I get pictures.

Sugar Free Ring Pops Review & Giveaway

WOW, I can't believe I forgot to pick a winner for this! I am so sorry readers!!! Read my next post for where I have been.
Congratulations to Amy for winning this giveaway. Amy, you didn't leave your email address so please email me your address. If I don't hear from you in 48 hours, I will pick a new winner.
Have you heard of Sugar Free Ring Pops? I had the pleasure to try them as well as my little guy and a couple of friends also. We all agreed that they are just as good as the regular ones minus the sugar! The sweetener used in these Ring Pops is Splenda.

These two guys tried the Green Apple and Blue Raspberry ones. They couldn't stop eating them! The only negative I would say for the Blue Raspberry is that his poor mouth, teeth and tongue were stained blue. That didn't happen for the Green Apple or the Strawberry one by little guy tried, only the blue one.
Now for the great thing. Ring pops sent me an extra 3-pack of these yummy Sugar Free Ring Pops to give away to one of my fabulous readers! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below telling me which flavor you would like to try the most. Be sure you leave your email address so I can contact you if you win.

For an extra entry, like me on Facebook! Leave a second entry telling me you did this. This Giveaway ends 6/14/10.
